DHL Country Manager unveils plans for 2015

Claude Zocli Country Manager DHL International The Gambia has unveiled some of DHL Gambia’s targets for 2015, one of which is to ensure that DHL applied best business strategies to become an employee of choice and an investment of choice for customers.

Zocli spoke in an interview with this reporter, whilst attending a reception in celebration of the United Nations 69th anniversary held at Kairaba Beach Hotel on Friday.

Zocli expressed appreciation for being invited to the event, which was geared toward reflecting on the work of the United Nations and its family of specialized agencies.

Regarding the theme for this year: “Youths a valuable partner in improving food security and reducing poverty,” DHL’s country manager applauded the UN for choosing this theme about promoting food security, as the youths are the driving force of any nation.

About the international courier service company, Zocli said DHL International started operating in The Gambia in 1986, providing quality, effective and efficiency service to the nation.

The DHL company attaches great importance to service delivery, as DHL services by businesses and in transportation are in great demand.

“I have been in the business for ten years now, and DHL is the most international company in the world and it’s the best to work with,” he said.

Asked about their 2015 business strategy, the country manager revealed that DHL’s target is to ensure that the company becomes employee of choice and the investment of choice.

Regarding DHL’s achievements in 2014, he said it is enormous, adding DHL engages in the community where it is working and tries to give them a lot of support.

DHL as a company was able to work with the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) in various activities, he further stated.
