A defendant, Mamud Saho, was recently ordered by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court to pay the plaintiff, Alagie Jallow, D24,200 and D400 as cost of the summons, being a debt owed to him.
After admitting liabilities when the claim was read to him, Saho was ordered to pay the debt by installments within three months.
According to the facts of the case, the plaintiff was claiming the recovery of D24,200 being the cost of black soap supplied to the defendant on credit over a year, which he failed to pay despite several demands for him to do.
