Substitute Pa Amat Njie netted a brace for Bakau United in the 84th and 89th minutes of the game to give his side the maximum points at the expense of Young Africans.
The defeat has put Young Africans at the bottom of the league table with 10 points in twelve games. They will therefore be hoping for a victory in their next games to stand a better chance of staying in the topflight season.
Brikama United were held to a 1-1 draw by Interior at the Brikama Mini Stadium, while Gambia Ports Authority drew 0-0 with Samger in the other week-twelve fixture played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Brikama United and Bakau United are 3rd and 4th on the league table with 18 points each. Interior and Gambia Ports Authority are 7th and 8th respectively with 14 points each.
Samger are 9th on league standing with 12 points, while Young Africans are rooted at the bottom of the league with 10 points in twelve games.
