The sporting activities are due to bring together personalities from the three arms of the government, however, the sport is also due to fraternize various workers from various walks of life, probably there were people of the same nation that did not know each.
These sporting activities will therefore bring them together in exchanging ideas prior to their works; this includes the judiciary, the legislative, and the executive in a sporting area, who shall walk to the Arch to July 22 Square, who will also work on aerobic training for almost 30 - 45 minutes.
In a press conference held at the Independence Stadium held on Friday, Pa Suwareh Faye, deputy director of sports, said the sporting activities include the Tug of War, “the survival of the fittest”, musical chair and football competition where participants from various works will compete in the sporting events.
He said they came to realize there are people in the civil society, who do not know each other, he said, adding that sport is one of the things that bring people together.
This was initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, he said, adding that they will be partnering with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in making the event a successful.
He, however, said they are working on the ground for the success of the event.
The event will be held in two days within the proposed three days, he clarified.
For his part, Suute M. Jawo said the event is destined to bringing people together who have not known each other or never met before.
