Dawda Bah and HJK who failed to secure a spot in the play-off in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers last Wednesday, after losing on both legs to FC Partizan, drew 1-1 with strugglers Oulu in the Finnish Veikkausliiga on Saturday.

They have now moved a single step and, at 37 on the league table, are on course to winning a second league title in a row, after dashing their hopes on playing once again in the group stages of  Europe's most competitive championship last week.

In the Swiss Axpo Super League, Abdourahman Dampha and Neuchatel Xamax lost to FC Zurich 3-4 to continue its winless matches in four fixtures, after managing a single draw earlier.

Amadou Sanyang and Toronto continued their impressive run in front of their home fans after beating Chivas USA 2-1 in the weekend MLS matches in the United States.

Toronto FC remained unbeaten at BMO Field following a strong performance from Dwayne De Rosario, ending Chivas' four-game unbeaten streak.

Toronto’s next task is on Wednesday against the Red Bulls in New York.

Sainey Nyassi and Ken Abdoulie Mansally's New England Revolution beat D.C. United 1-0 courtesy of Phelan's first-half header on Saturday night in New England.

Mansally had the lone chance of the half for New England, as Tierney's free kick fell to him in the box. But the New England striker sent his shot just wide of the far post, without really challenging Hamid. From there, United were unable to create anything that looked to be a potential equalizer.

Omar Jassey alias Waterman who was on international duties with the Gambian U-20 against Sierra Lone last week missed his MLS side, San Jose Earth Quake's 1-0 defeat to Colorado Rapids.
