Normalisation Committee legal adviser Legenju Vitalis has said the GFF constitution was fully respected by members of the Normalisation Committee, which resulted in the successful process of the normalisation.
Mr Vitalis spoke to reporters last Saturday at the Paradise Suites Hotel, during the extra-ordinary congress of the GFF. He believes they executed their job to the letter.
He described the whole process as “really challenging”, but that with the help of God they were able to respect all provisions of the constitution, the rules of election as stated in the constitution and what they considered to be best practices.
“With the help of God everything went well, and we can say that the constitution was fully respected by the Normalisation Committee members,” Vitalis declared.
“We stood for our integrity, and actually delivered based on that,” he went on, and that the Gambian public who were at the congress can attest to that.
The NC legal adviser also announced that the NC has “put a lot of mechanisms in place not to go back to normalisation again,” and that would be contained in the final report to be circulated to FIFA, CAF and relevant stakeholders.
