An impressive 3-nil victory, a narrow 1-nil win as well as an unconvincing 1-1 draw against bottom place Kudang Upper Basic School was more than enough for outstanding Janjanbureh football team to open up a 3 points lead at the summit of the table, as the Coco-Cola sponsored nationwide inter-secondary schools football competition took centerstage at Janjanbureh playing ground on Thursday.

According to the four-day inter-secondary schools football competition, it was a rather embarrassing result for Bansang Upper Basic School, who conceded the heaviest defeat when impressive Janjanbureh who recorded an impressive number of seven points in three matches entertained them to a disappointing 3-nil win to record a perfect start to the four team tournament on Thursday.

Kudang, who were not good enough to achieve the desired result in the tournament after collecting only 2 points in the process were held to a pulsating 1-1 draw against Chajal, who sits at second place behind the table toppers with a total of four points to its name on Friday before going ahead to snatch a convincing 3-1 win over Bansang Upper Basic School on Saturday to maintain second spot.

Despite that major setback, Bansang Upper Basic School recovered from their unconvincing 3-1 lost at the hands of Chajal as they enjoyed a hard fought 1-0 victory against Kudang FC whose efforts were not good enough to earn them a single point, drawing two in a row before they could succumb to a 1-nil defeat in the process.

Meanwhile, reports reaching Pointsport from Lamin Sanyang, the Coordinator of the tournament in CRR has indicated that the Coco-Cola sponsored Senior Secondary Schools football competition since yesterday got underway and it is also producing some fantastic secondary school football games in Bansang.

The tournament is organised in a bid to help youngsters in the provinces realise their potential if the words of Sanyang, who spoke to our reporter in an interview yesterday are anything to go by.

Meanwhile, here is the table Janjanburreh 7 points, Chajal 4 points, Bansang 3 points and Kudang are rooted at the bottom of the table on only 2 points.
