The 2010 Gambia open tennis championship which continues to produce some wonderful and scintillating tennis encounters has entered its most interesting moments (Men's Doubles, Mixed Double), at the Independence Stadium Tennis Courts and Fajara Tennis Club, respectively.
Monday thrilling encounter which has witnessed a cracker saw Seedy Bojang and Balla Susso eliminated out of form Yankuba Drammeh and Buba Jawara by 7-5, 6-2, followed by another titanic encounter when the two household names in the Gambian tennis Macianoca and Basuruwa Conteh entertained Alex Marah and Badou Colley, to a bitterly fought 6-0, 6-3 defeat at the Stadium to wrap-up games in the Men's double.
Meanwhile, in the mixed double, Macianoca and impressive Lala Sallah enjoyed a 6-1, 6-3 win over Seedy Bojang and Nyima Jamanka, to progress to the next stage of the tournament at the Independence Stadium, while Thursday game in the Mixed double also saw Basuruwa Conteh and Katherine Osiru edged out Andy Milford and Katie Paine with a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
Matches in the other category are currently in session at the Independence Stadium Tennis Courts, as well as the Fajara Tennis Club which is witnessing some fantastic games and revelation at the time of filing this report yesterday evening.
