Nyanga Sallah, head coach of Serrekunda East FC, has said his side was unlucky in the second round of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) Second Division League.
The side dropped points which resulted to their failure to gain promotion to the first division league.
He said their target was to gain promotion to the first division but noted that this cannot happen but added that he was definitely impressed with the performance of his boys.
He noted that finishing fourth position during the league was a better result, adding that maybe it is not yet time for them to be promoted to the topflight league.
He prayed so that they can witness next season for them to put their house in order and strengthen the team by improving on their weaknesses.
Sallah stated further that if they are able to repeat their performance in the season he is sure they will gain promotion next season.
Alagie Nyassi, head coach of Tallinding United, said they just came to play and finish the league because they have not been training for the past month.
He stated that there was no need for them to put much emphasis on the league.
He said that they will rebuild on their weaknesses, check certain department, strengthen new areas and prepare well for next season.
Both coaches made these remarks in an interview with Pointsports in their final game of the league played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
