Sang Ndong, head coach of Hawks, has expressed disappointment over the performance of his team as they have suffered yet another setback in the Gambia Football Association division one league season.
Coach Ndong made these remarks in an interview with reporters shortly after his side 2-0 defeat to Real De Banjul in the Week 6 fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini-stadium on Tuesday.
He stated that Real De Banjul were “superior” during the game and “they managed to score two solid goals” and bagged the maximum points.
The performance of his team was below expectations, the Hawks coach noted, saying the defeat has taken his club to the relegation zone.
Alagie Sarr, head coach of Real De Banjul, said he was delighted to register his first victory so far this season, adding that his team really deserved to collect the maximum points against Hawks.
“The league is still young and Real De Banjul are among the title contenders,” Sarr noted, saying his club would try to “work very hard to improve” on its scoring capability to score more goals as the league progresses.
