Mr. Dembo Kinteh, CCF Kairasu Programme Officer, has said that CCF will phase out after 12 years.

Mr. Kinteh made these remarks last Monday at the opening of a 3-day workshop of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). He said all efforts should be made by communities that are immensely benefiting from CCF to put their hand on deck to upgrade themselves on programmes and development ventures initiated by CCF.

"CCF after 12 years will phase out, so all efforts should be made by communities that are immensely benefited from CCF to put their hands on deck to upgrade themselves on development programmes and development ventures initiative by CCF".

He added that this can only be done by participation and also involvement of the people with their communities," he said.

The Kairasu programme officer expressed optimism that the three day workshop will help develop the minds of the participants to be able to support their communities from the knowledge they gain. He further stressed the need to strengthen our community based organizations (CBO'S).

In the opinion of Mr. Kinteh, involving the people in this participatory Rural appraisal (PRA) Education, and poor attitudinal change, are key elements.

"We believe to involve the people in this participatory Rural appraisal (PRA) There are certain key elements that are indispensable and these are education for awareness and poor attitudinal change for reading to participate," he stressed.

The Kairasu Programme officer thanked the participants for answering to their call and urged them to make good use of the knowledge gained from the workshop.

Mr. Famara Bojang, Chairman Gunjur, commended CCF Kairasu for their support and services rendered to our various communities. He added that its sensitization continues, and before the end of the 12 years every community sponsored by CCF will be able to upgrade themselves in future.

The workshop was attended by people from all walks of life including parents and community heads, youth groups and students.
