Cameroon draw with Senegal U-23 in int’l friendly

Cameroon on Tuesday were held to a 1-1 draw by Senegal U-23 team in an international friendly played in Dakar.

The international friendly game was part of the Indomitable Lions’ preparations for their crucial 2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers away to The Gambia on Sunday 6 September 2015, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The international friendly game was part of Senegal’s preparations for the 2015 African U-23 championship which will serve as qualifying round for the 2016 Olympic Games to be hosted in Rio, Brazil.

The Indomitable Lions are currently in Dakar for a five-day training camp for their 2017 continent biggest football fiesta qualifiers away to The Gambia this weekend in Banjul.

Cameroon are topping group M of their 2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers after their 1-0 home win over Mauritania in the opening day of the qualifiers on 14 June 2015, in Yaounde and will be searching for a positive result against the Scorpions on Sunday to maintain their hundred percent record as well as keeping hopes of qualifying for the continent biggest football fiesta alive.
