Buckingham
FC have been crowned champions of the 2016 late Modou Janneh Memorial inter-mediate football tournament Super Cup
title following their 4-2 penalty
shootout win over Young Santos FC, after a 1-1 draw in the regulation time
played at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on Friday.
Young
Santos FC opened the tally through striker Lamin Jobe in the 5th minute after
the interval.
The
Palace boys responded back and levelled the scores five minutes later through
striker Meene Faal.
This
pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout which ended 4-2 in favour of
Buckingham FC.
As
champions, Buckinham FC went home with a giant trophy and cash prize of D2,000,
whilst Young Santos FC received D1,500.
