Brikama
Sports Committee is set to launch Brikama United’s road to the 2017 CAF
Confederation Cup fund-raising campaign tomorrow, Saturday 3 September 2016, at
the Brikama Mini Stadium.
The
initiative is meant to raise funds Brikama United’s participation in the
continent’s second biggest football clubs competition in 2017.
The
Sateyba boys are set to represent The Gambia in the 2017 CAF Confederation
after clinching the 2016 GFF FF cup title by beating rival Bombada 1-0 in the
final played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on 5 June 2016, courtesy of
striker Sainey Bojang in the second half.
Brikama
United made their debut in CAF Champions league in 2012 after claiming the
league title in the 2010-2011 season, but were eliminated in the second round
by the then African champions Esperance of Tunisia.
