The final of the long awaited Brufut junior league championship tournament organised and co-ordinated by Brufut Youth Empowerment Group (BYEG) in partnership with Brufut Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC) is slated for this Saturday 27th June 2009, at the
The grand final game will feature Young Luka FC and Sheraton FC and is expected to be graced by important dignitaries and football fans across Brufut and its environs.
The tournament is meant to promote and develop grass root football in Brufut and its surrounding areas and also to identify talent in the village.
The organising committee is appealing to the two finalists to maintain peace during the final and assured them that the final will be free and fair. And promised that they will continue to stage such tournaments in Brufut in the near future.
It could be recalled that Young Luka FC made it to the final edging out West Side FC 5-3 on penalties after normal time of play ended 0-0 while Sheraton FC advanced to the final following their 2-1 win over Junction Ba FC.
