Brikama United win Inter-Academy Tourney title

Brikama United Football Academy were crowned champions of the U-15 Brikama inter-academy football tournament following their 4-3 post-match penalty shootout victory over Lucky Dube Football Academy, after goalless draw in the regulation time in the final game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium on Sunday.

The most-awaited final game showed brilliant display of skills and talent and attracted spectators from Brikama and its surrounding areas.  Both sides created numerous goal-scoring opportunities in front of each other’s goal mouth but the regulation time failed to produce a winner.

This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout which ended 4-3 in favour of Brikama United Academy.

Touray’s Football Academy emerged champions of the U-13 category following their 5-4 post-match penalty shootout win over Lucky Dube Football Academy, after goalless draw in the regulation time in the final at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium on the same day.

Brikama United Football Academy and Touray’s Football Academy both bagged trophies after the final in U-15 and U-13 categories respectively.
