The 2010-2011 Gambia Football Association division one league champions Brikama United will clash with 2010-2011 FA Cup champions Gamtel in the Super Cup final slated for tomorrow, 14 January 2012, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
The Super Cup marks the curtain raiser of the most-anticipated 2011-2012 Gambia Football Association (GFA) national division one league competition later this year.
Brikama United clinched the 2010-2011 league title after bagging 43 points in twenty-two games beating Gamtel 2-1 in the first round of the league campaign but lost 2-0 to Gamtel in the final game of the league season.
They will be hoping for a revenge against telecommunications giant in tomorrow’s Super Cup final following their 2-0 defeat to them in the last game of the season to secure their first GFA Super Cup title.
Gamtel, on the other hand, won the FA Cup title back to back in the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons and also finished runners-up in the 2011 West African Football Union tournament hosted in Togo last year.
They lost to Brikama United 2-1 in the first round of the 2010-2011 league but also defeated them 2-0 in the last game of the league last season before going on to beat Gambia Ports Authority 2-0 in the FA Cup final.
