Breakers Osnabruck FC on Monday defeated Churchill’s Town FC by a goal to nil in a third division qualifiers encounter played at the Serrekunda East mini-Stadium.
Abdoulie Jallow’s 15th minute goal separated the two sides in a spectacular encounter.
Churchill’s Town then fought back and created some chances but could not capitalise on them thus the first half ended 1-0 in favour of Breakers Osnabruck FC.
As action resumed in the second period, Churchill’s Town FC dominated in ball possession and came all out for an equaliser but the Breakers Osnabruck FC were able to keep hold onto their 1-nil lead for the remainder of the game.
And the situation turned even worst for Churchill’s Town FC when combative midfielder Sidina Mendy was sent off after been shown a second yellow-card eight minutes remaining.
Skipper Sada Jallow had an empty net to double the lead for Breakers Osnabruck FC but his effort went over the cross bar for a goal-kick to Churchill’s Town.
The win has confirmed that Churchill’s Town are through to the next stage of the qualifiers.
