Boy friend testifies in court

Abdoulie Sillah, a boy friend to the complainant recently testified before Principal Magictrate Kayode of the Bundung Magistrates' Court in a theft case involving one Alhagie Kandeh.

Mr. Kandeh was alleged of stealing a Dutch passport, Dutch driving licence, Euro15, 000, D142, 000, a Dutch sim card, being the property of Helga Maison, a charge he denied. 

Testifying before the court, Mr. Sillah told the court that the complainant, Helga Maison, is his girl friend and the accused was the complainant's watchman.

According to him, on 19th December 2009, he was on his way to work when he saw the accused in the compound premises of the complainant. He added that while he was at work, he received a phone call from the complainant informing him that someone has broken into her house.

He testified that "upon arrival at the compound they found the accused crying bitterly and the complainant also started to cry as the back door was broken and the save was missing."

He concluded that the matter was subsequently reported to Manjai Police Station where they gave their statement.
