Boy, 10, needs assistance to undergo overseas treatment

Seyerr Njie, a 10-year-old boy and a student of Latrikunda Sabiji Lower Basic School, is seeking financial support to undergo overseas treatment for an enlargement of the heart.

According to the report from the school principal, Hally L. Sanneh, it stated that this fact was established after he underwent a series of tests in Dakar, Senegal, and the medical bill of the treatment was more than one hundred and seventy-five thousand dalasi (D175,000).

Therefore, the child is seeking for assistance from anybody, the government and philanthropists.

Also according to the medical report from the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, bearing the name of Sayerr Njie, a known cardiac patient who was diagnosed with having rheumatic heart disease secondary to mitral valve since 2 years ago, and had been going to follow up clinic.

This presenting symptom on first contact was fast breathing and difficultly on oral frusemide, Pen V and spironoloactone.

Upon examination, the child was recommended for overseas treatment since there is no cardiac surgeon in this centre.
