Biko to Host London Stars of UK

Bakau first Division giants, Steve Biko FC will be the host of London Stars of UK for three international matches next week.

London Stars, a team made of Africans and other Nationals based in the United Kingdom mainly Somalians and Caribbeans, will arrive in Banjul on Tuesday January 27th 2009.

According to the President of Steve Biko FC, Mustapha Kebbeh, the London Stars will be playing three matches during their stay in Banjul.

Mr. Kebbah pointed out that, the London Stars will first take on Steve Biko on Thursday January 29, 2009 at the Independence Stadium and two days later, on Saturday 31st, They will face The Gambia National U-17 Team at the Independence Stadium.

Steve Biko boss revealed that Armed Forces will challenge the London Stars on Monday February 2nd 2009 at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Mr. Kebbeh added that the London Stars will be arriving in Banjul with the Second tallest man in the world at 2.40m.

He said that tickets for the matches are VIP D100, D25 and D10 for covered and uncovered pavilions respectively.

He appealed to all Gambians to come and support the teams a s the matches are meant to support the U-17 team for the Algeria 2009 and Armed Forces for their WALO championship in Guinea Conakry in April.
