Berefet Chief testifies in court

Alhagie Junkung Camara, the chief of Foni Berefet, Wednesday testified in the trial involving one Saikuba Suso who was accused of stealing at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Nyima Samateh.

In his testimony as defence witness, the Foni Berefet Chief told the court he knew the accused person and that it was his bard messenger who arrested the accused person and took him to police.

According to him, he did not assign his bard messenger to do anything and he was not aware of the incident until he was informed that his bard messenger and the accused person were at Sibanor Police Station.

Chief Camara said the complainant did not inform him about anything on the problem between him and the accused person, adding that his coming to court to testify was that his name was mentioned in the case and he personally did not see the accused person with anything.

He said he did not know anything about the case.

The case was at this juncture adjourned till 4 August 2014.
