Magistrate Secka of the Brikama Magistrates' Court on 2 February 2011 issued a bench warrant for the accused or his surety.
The accused, Babucarr Sambou, charged with criminal trespass and common assault, failed to appear in court on three occasions.
Inspector Jammeh, the prosecuting officer, made the application for a bench warrant to be issued to the accused, Babucarr Sambou, or his surety.
According to Inspector Jammeh, the accused failed to appear in court on three occasions without informing the court the reason of his absence.
Consequently, the presiding magistrate granted the prosecution’s application and issued a bench warrant against the accused or his surety.
The case was then adjourned until 21 February 2011.
