Senegal police fire teargas on supporters of ex-president’s son

Director of Beakanyang Kafoo, Nfamara Jawneh said his organisation will award
five Gambian media houses for their strong role in educating people about their
rights and promoting human rights.
He applauded the media for holding the Government accountable as primary duty bearer of the welfare of people.
Mr Jawneh and his Beakanyang Kafoo hailed the media for supporting their work as human rights organisation and for promoting human rights in The Gambia.
He said the award would take place during the youth for Human Rights Day celebrations to be held at St. Peter’s Technical Senior Secondary School in Lamin on 14 December.
