The annual general meeting (AGM) and triennial congress of Beakanyang (Equal Opportunities for All) organisation slated for Saturday, 25 December 2010 has been called off, this paper can confirmed.
According to a press release issued by the organisation, the move came after a consultation with its board to give opportunity to members most of whom are farmers, to enable them to finish harvesting their crops.
“This will give them the chance to participate in the congress and not to deny them exercising their rights to vote and be voted for,” says the dispatch.

The organisation decided to use this platform to apologise to all those affected by this change and urged them to take note of the changes.
Meanwhile, the release continued, the new date for AGM is Saturday, 22 January 2011.
