Bantankoto-Osolo FC on Tuesday came from behind to beat Zebra FC 2-1 to sail to the semi-final in the 2012 Bakau Nawettan league played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.
Bantankoto-Oslo FC and Zebra FC, which are household names, are the most decorated teams in Bakau Nawettan.
The game, characterised by brilliant exhibition of skills, attracted spectators from Bakau and its environs.
Zebra FC opened the scoring through striker Madi Fatty in the 25th minute of the game before Steve Biko’s striker Sulayman Sanyang levelled the score for Bantankoto-Oslo FC in the 55th minute to cancel out Madi Fatty’s 25th minute strike.
Lamin Sanyang secured the winner for Bantankoto-Oslo FC in the 70th minute of the game from astonishing strike to earn his side a place in the last four.
At the time of going to press Vidar FC is clashing with Lurinburg FC in the other quarterfinal game at the Bakau Mini Stadium, the winner will meet Bantankoto-Oslo FC in the semi-final to be announced later.
