In his testimony, Badjie told the court that he is from Banjulinding and knew the second accused person, Alhagie Lamin Jarju, since colonial times.
He said the second accused person was the founder of Banjulinding and among the first settlers in the village since colonial days.
According to him, Landing Kotoring Janneh was welcomed by the accused person’s family, the Jarju kunda, and Janneh never acquired any land in Banjulinding village.
He said Landing kotoring Janneh migrated from Bakau to Banjulinding, where he was welcomed by the second accused person.
Badjie said he had been the chairman of council of elders of the village since colonial days, as he inherited the post from the late Ebrima Mbye.
He added that the accused persons never made any false document and the land in dispute belongs to the accused persons, as they are the founders and first settlers on that land.
