Hon. Abdoulie Bojang, Speaker of the National Assembly, has commended members of the National Assembly and the Public Accounts Committee and Public Enterprises Committee (PAC/PEC) for achievements they have registered during PAC/PEC joint sessions.
Speaking during the adjournment debate, Speaker Bojang said the achievements they have made during the PAC/PEC sessions are among the best services of the Assembly, and called on the committees to continue the good work.
The Speaker of the House also thanked President Yahya Jammeh for his support to the Gambian people, and also congratulated the National Assembly team that visited Ghana on a study tour.
Hon. Modou Bamba Gaye, the newly-elected member for Lower Saloum, congratulated both parties for welcoming him to the National Assembly.
He said the problems of Lower Saloum include need for good roads, regular electricity and water supply, adding that there is only one borehole in Kaur, which could not supply the whole surrounding villages in Lower Saloum.
“We are appealing to the government to tackle the problems,” he said.
