Pa Touray recently testified as the third prosecution witness in the assault case involving one Buba Barry at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Cham.
Touray told the court the accused, Buba Barry, was chatting with Ebrima Touray, the complainant, with whom he later had a quarrel.
He said as a result, he assaulted the said Ebrima Touray, by giving him a blow during the fight and Ebrima sustained an injury on his head.
The complainant was later taken to the hospital, while the accused was taken to Bundung Police Station where he was cautioned and charged.
He said he (the witness) later gave his statement.
Under cross-examination, the witness adduced that he was present at the scene of the fight, and even separated them, but the accused continued to attack the complainant.
The case continues.
