The Senegalese Division One league giants Aschlm this morning returned home after successfully undergoing three-week preparatory programme in the build-up to the 2009\10 Senegalese League Championship.

The team headed by Coach Bamour Faal, who was so delighted at the outcome of their three-week stay in the country, said it was a peaceful moment.

The visitors enjoyed a hard fought 1-nil victory as part of their last encounter in Gambian soil when they beat the GFA Second Division outfit Young Africans, thanks to a second half goal from Momodou Jaye, who scored from a close range volleyball mid-way through the second period to give Aschlm a narow 1-nil win over Coach Amat Cham and his new men in Friday's friendly match, played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The team, according to Coach Bamour Faal, who spoke to journalists shortly after the match, said they were promoted to the Senegalese First Division in 2001 after graduating from the lower league.

Aschlm were so instrumental in beating GFA Division One league champions Armed Forces with an impressive 2-nil score line last Tuesday before entertaining the Bakau giants Steve Biko to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday, at the Independence Stadium to head home with some positive results.
