The ruling Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) has announced its candidate for the upcoming bye-election in Wuli East scheduled for the 28th of April.
A statement from the APRC bureau announced yesterday that President Yahya Jammeh, who is the leader of the party, had confirmed Saidou Sabally, a native of Passamas Fula Kunda in Wuli East district, as the candidate for the APRC party.
The seat for the Wuli East constituency became vacant after the death of Hon. Bekai Camara, National Assembly Member for Wuli East, who passed away on Sunday, March 6th 2011.
Nomination for the bye-election was scheduled for 18th April, while the election will be held on 28th April 2011.
