One Bubacarr Tunkara was on 15th September, 2009, arraigned before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for an alleged murder.
The charge sheet stated that on or about 6th September, 2009, at Kairaba Avenue, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused murdered one Ahmat Iseri by stabbing him with a knife.
The accused did not take his plea after the charge sheet was read to him.
Magistrate Mbacke told the court that the case would be transferred to the special criminal court at the High Court which would decide whether to grant the accused bail or not. He remanded the accused in custody until the case is handled by the special criminal court at the High court.
The case attracted a large crowd who came to witness it.
