Alleged theft case reaches court

One Sarjo Camara was on Thursday arraigned before Magistrate Hillary Abeke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with one count of theft.

He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D500, 000 with two Gambian sureties.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Sarjo Camara, on 4 June 2013, at Tippa Garage, Bakoteh, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole from the shop of one Amadou Wurry Jallow the following:

Fiscal cash of D13,800, two gross of D.J cigarette valued at D170, two gross of Sir cigarette valued at D320, two Samsung mobile phones valued at D1,850 and D1,300 respectively, and one mobile phone valued at D750.

The case was adjourned till 18 June 2013.
