A businessman, Sait Njie, recently testified in the trial involving six accused persons at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Abeke.
The accused persons, Beyakic Camara, Foday Jammeh, Dodou Nyang, Yaya Camara, Dawda Bah and Malick Gibba are charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, compounding a felony, destroying evidence, burglary and stealing.
Testifying, Sait Njie told the court that he came to know the accused persons at the Kairaba Police Station.
He said on 19 March 2013 he was sleeping when he received a call from his elder brother, Baturu Janneh, who told him that their shop was broken.
Njie said he went to the shop and found out that the shop was broken and 36 mobile phones, a box of jewelleries, three handbags, two I-pad and D15, 000 were missing.
