Alleged bicycle thief arraigned

One Alhagie Jawneh was recently arraigned before the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.

He denied the charge and the case was adjourned till 27 February 2012.

Meanwhile, the accused was granted court bail of D2, 000 with one Gambian surety with an ID card.

According to the particulars of offence, Alhagie Jawneh on 20 January 2012, at Kanifing Estate, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole a pedal bicycle valued at D1, 800, the property of one Paul Dalliah and thereby committed an offence.
