A Brikama resident convicted

Magistrate JA Effim of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Sarjo Darboe to a fine of D1, 500, in default to serve three months in prison following his plea of guilt to the charge of going armed in public.

According to the particulars of offence, on 15th January 2010, at Brikama, the convict, Sarjo Darboe was found armed with a knife without lawful authority in such a manner, and causing terror to members of the public, namely Lamin Darboe and Kalifa Mendy, respectively.
