Jatta, a Senegalese national, was on 2 July 2015, arraigned before Magistrate
Colley of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court and charged with stealing.
He did not accept responsibility.
Prosecutors alleged that the accused, Louis Jatta, on 20 June 2015 at Fajara in the Kanifing Municipality, stole the following items: six gas bottles valued at D700 each, three water pumps valued at D6,000 each, one dell computer valued at D15,000, one Lenovo tablet valued at D15,000, one I-phone 4 mobile valued at D6,000, and one LG air conditioner valued at D22,000, totaling D80,200, the property of one Muhammed Salami.
He was granted bail in the sum of D100,000 with two Gambian sureties who must swear to an affidavit of means, and they should deposit their ID cards.
The case was adjourned to 14 July 2015, for hearing.
