"But You are a shield around me, O Lord; You bestow glory on me and lift my head." (Ps. 3:3)
If we should take stock of what we have been through these past ten years, we would be shocked at where we find ourselves today. For yesterday looked grim, hope was hopeless and the future bleak.
And the irony of it all is that it has nothing to do with us. Indeed, it is by God's grace and mercy that "we have been saved through faith -- and this not of yourselves, it is a gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." (Eph. 2:8) God's hand brought it about.
Again when we look closely at the lives of some Bible characters, we would observe that their stories did not remain static; it changed when they encountered Jesus. The 10 lepers were healed; the woman with the spirit of infirmity 18 years was relased; blind Bartimaeus received his sight; and even Saul became Paul.
These incidents speak of the glory and power of God over our circumstances.
We conclude that whatever we are going through today or now is not permanent - this too shall pass away. You will come through whatever adverse circumstances you are facing now in Jesus' name.
"So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. (2 Corin.4:18)
What God cannot do does not exist.
