The Bible is generally referred to as the Word of God, the Law or the Scriptures. It is a collection of all what God has revealed about Himself to humankind.
The Word of God is also a person: the Lord Jesus Christ. "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (Jn.1:1)
You want to know God's thoughts on any given subject, search His Word.
Paul states: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, revoking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Tim 3:16)
The Psalmist declares that the word of God illuminates. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.(Ps.119:105)
It is with His word that God established the world. "Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; You establish the earth and it endures." (Ps.119:89-90) There is power in God's word when we speak it.
Jesus admonishes "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." (Matt. 7:24)
