Young Gambian designer promotes arts

Judith A Foon, a young talented Gambian designer has made the Gambia proud as she promotes African products to the international world.

Speaking to journalists during the grand opening of the new products at Pipeline, Judith A Foon said SheMade is a women and parent businesses to three sub-businesses with distinct products services markets and opportunities.

According to her, the business that birthed the other business produces a large variety of creative unique and innovative handmade and homemade items made locally with a focus on African inspired materials from countries around the continent.

SheMade by Ju is basically a manufacturing as well as merchandising business in which we present a wide assortment of handmade or homemade products.

SheMade graphics designs, unique and creative graphic designs. It targets customers from start-up businesses to medium companies, Judith explained adding that SheMade graphics offers a fresh perspective regarding corporate identity and visual communication.

She added that in 2021, graphic designs were incorporated into SheMade by Ju to produce new products such as Made in The Gambia Greeting cards, Jewelries and a whole range of other products. Dogs and All is the first Pet Store in The Gambia. The business aims to provide Gambians with a one-shop for all their pet needs, food assessors, housing and many more.

 Madam Foon therefore thanked IOM in collaboration with the British High Commissioner for supporting her through training and provides some funding to start her business.

Judith A Foon owns SheMade alone, and  Adama  Ceesay together  with the pet store.
