‘XAM – XAM’ BAND TO LAUNCH CATCHING THE GROVE ALBUM

Musa Moob and the Xam Xam Band residing in England set to launch a debut album titled ‘Catching The Grove’ a nine (9) songs compilation music project to be officially release on 20th July, 2023 in England. 

The album is a world music production with an African and European taste, unifying and recognizing the different between African and Western music.

Speaking to this medium; the prominent percussionist and singer, Musa Mboob Mbalahal is one of the leading founders of Gambian cultural music.  

He said ‘Catching The Grove album was produced by the band,  adding that the band will tour Europe – Africa after the officially launch..  

He said the band has produced a quality music project in order to set the difference compare to their previous albums. 

 Musa emphasis that quality music consists of various elements to make it a good production for public benefit.  

The popular percussionist is a music enthusiast and a cultural ambassador known both home and abroad in promoting the African norms and values to the wider world. Musa spent decades in traditional music and cultural ceremonies. 

He participates in series of musical platforms, festivals, workshops, art exhibition and international cultural exchange programs. 

His years of experience in the global music industry has played with a large number of bands, including Ifang Bondi,Boka Halat, Gelawarr,Njom Music Band,Joko, TAPS, African Express, Alan Skidmore & Ubizo etc. 

Musa is an agent of change in the society he has uplift and grown many young talents in the industry both home and abroad. 

He further said his community projects and philanthropic contribution to humanity will continue to benefit the human race. 

The popular percussionist calls on musicians to use their art work to change the world to be a better place to live.

He said music is not only about entertainment, but contributes to huge economic benefits and the message an artiste portrait could contribute to the human philosophy and thinking.
