After going through a tough dancing competition, Top Class Crew has finally won Dance Gambia Championship finals with the sum of D50, 000. The event was organized by Flex Fuzion Entertainment in collaboration with Eye Africa TV and held at Alliance Franciase.
Ndey Fatou Jabang, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flex Fuzion Dance Academy and Entertainment said the journey has been long for them.
Madam Jabang pointed out that our society does not appreciate dancing but today people are acknowledging the performance which is why people came in their large numbers.
“Our next target is to make sure we work hand in glove with all youth that went through the competition and try to educate them more in dance and in entrepreneurship as well as on how they can plan themselves to do better,” She added.
“We are also looking at having an establishment where all these dancers can come and use their creativity. We will be hosting the first dance competition where all these dancers will be part of that project,” she further said.
She thanked sponsors that supported her in one way or the other.
Ngoneh Panneh, on behalf of Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) thanked all those who took part in the competition. She stated that the competition was part of promoting tourism and culture in the country.
“I encourage all of us as stakeholders to support the initiate which will build our economy, image, heritages and stand as a nation,” she went on.
“As an institution, we continue to engage and support gross roots and development of the sector through our partners.”
Hassoum Ceesay, director general for National Center for Arts and Culture (NCAC) thanked Ndey and her team for their good work. He described the initiative as a new discovery in the arts.
