Tanji defend Kombo South District tournament crown

The Tanji boys won the Kombo South District football tournament trophy last year following their 2-0 victory over Berending in a final played at the same venue.

Tanji made an astonishing start to the match and crafted some goal scoring opportunities.

Ousman Colley gave Tanji the lead in the first half, which eventually proved to be the winner for the Tanji boys.

Tujereng responded back quickly for an equaliser and created goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Tanji.

As champions, Tanji went home with a giant trophy, medals and a cash prize of D55, 000 while Tujereng received medals and D45, 000 as runners-up.
