Rapid Vienna, Gloucester Utd snatch victories in Banjul nawetan qualifiers

Rapid Vienna FC, Gloucester United, Tigers FC and Baston United FC over the weekend snatched victories in the on-going 2021 Banjul ‘nawetan’ qualifiers played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Rapid Vienna FC defeated Late Ndigal Faal FC 4-3 on penalties following a 1-all draw during regulation time to progress to the second round of Banjul nawetan qualifiers.

Tigers FC beat Miami FC 2-1 to sail to the second round of Banjul nawetan qualifiers, while Gloucester United defeated Gaarass Bi by the same score line to navigate to the second round of the qualifiers.

Baston United stunned Plum Bi FC 1-0 to sail to the second round of Banjul nawetan qualifiers, while Park Bi FC defeated Tough FC 3-1 on penalties after the regular time ended 1-1.

The victory earned Park Bi FC a place in the second round of Banjul nawetan qualifiers.
