The Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC) has clinched the 25th edition of the National Inter-Departmental Sport Association (NISA) football tournament trophy.
GTSC defeated The Gambia Armed Forces 3-2 in a trilling final played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Yaya Bachilly gave The Gambia Armed Forces the lead in the 24th minute of the match.
Ebrima Conta levelled matters for The Gambia Transport Service Company in the 50th minute of the match.
Tijan Ceesay scored the second goal for The Gambia Transport Service Company few minutes later.
Dembo Manjang scored the third goal for The Gambia Transport Service Company during the match.
Ansumana Kujabi scored the second goal for The Gambia Armed Forces in the stoppage time, which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.
As champions, The Gambia Transport Service Company were decorated with gold medals, a giant trophy and a cash prize of D40, 000, while The Gambia Armed Forces received a trophy, silver medals and D25,000 as runners-up.
Wallymang received the third-place award following their 3-1 post match penalty shootouts win over MRCG after regular time ended 2-2 .
Wallymang took the lead through Ousman Dibba in the 2nd minute of the match.
Muhammed Jobe levelled matters for MRCG in the 14 minute of the match.
Ndogal Ceesay scored the second goal for 2-1 for MRCG in the 18 minute of the match.
Famara Jarju equalised for Wallymang in the 69th minute of the match.
This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 3-1 in favour of Wallymang.
Meanwhile, GTSC will now represent The Gambia in the sub-regional championship in Senegal.
