Modou Joof signs for Club Rachad Bernoussi

Gambian defender Modou Joof has signed for Moroccan club, Club Rachad Bernoussi from Guediawaye FC in Senegal.
The press conference was to update the media on the level of the Association’s preparedness for its upcoming event.
Speaking at the briefing, John Bass President of the association called for support to ensure the successful conduct of the Awards.
“I’m calling on all Gambians and football lovers to come and partner with us and support us to make the night a success,” he asserted.
Pa Suwareh Faye, President of The Gambia Football Coaches Association expressed gratitude to the Players Association for coming up with the initiative.
He said as coaches they are delighted to partner with the players “because all the players nominated are developed by us”.
Dodou Janko, Secretary General gave a brief history of the association, noting that their achievements range from players’ welfare and awards given to them at the end of each month during the league season amongst others.
Other speakers were former Gambian international Ebou Sillah and Cherno Badjie who both called on Gambians to come out and patronize the players association to ensure a successful hosting of the Awards Night.

Gambian international, Ablie Jallow on Saturday helped his Belgian Second Division side RFC Seraing secure promotion to the Belgian top flight following a 6-3 aggregate win over Waasland-Beveren in their playoff finals played at the Freethielstadion.
Following the letter addressed last week by the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall to former President Abdoulaye Wade informing him of his decision to give his name to the new great national stadium built in Diamniadio, the latter holds everything firstly congratulated President Macky Sall for this achievement and to say how much he is honored by this gesture and this sign of recognition that he accepts.
League clubs are set for the new league season after The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) declared the 2019-2020 Division one and two league competitions null and void following the extension of the state of public emergency by president Adama Barrow in May 2020 in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country.
