Mckinstry unveils squad today as Madagascar scuffle edges closer

Head Coach of The Gambia senior national team Jonathan Mckinstry will today, Thursday, 3rd October 2024 unveil his squad at the Football House in Kanifing, as the Scorpions 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Madagascar edges closer.

The Scorpions will play away to Madagascar in their third qualifier match on 11th October 2024.

Coach Mckinstry will be resolute to assemble a formidable squad to face Madagascar in the continent’s biennial biggest football showpiece qualifier match.

The Scorpions, who are winless in their two opening qualifier matches, will fight hard to stun Madagascar to secure their first triumph in the 2024 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Gambia bagged only a point in Group A of the continent’s biennial biggest football fiesta qualifiers following their 1-1 draw against Comoros Islands in their opening qualifier match before losing to Tunisia 2-1 in their second qualifier match.

Meanwhile, Tunisia currently occupy top-spot in Group A of the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 6 points after winning their two group matches.

Madagascar sit second-place in Group A of the continent’s biennial biggest football showpiece qualifiers with a point in two group matches.
