Mar 24, 2022, 1:11 PM | Article By: Lamin Darboe

Ecomog FC on Sunday sailed to the semifinals of the 2021-2022 Gunjur ‘nawetan’ league following their 4-3 penalty shootout win over Argentina FC after the regulation time ended goalless in their quarterfinal match played at the Gunjur Upper and Senior Secondary School Football Field.

Both sides played defensive and offensive football, creating some goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the match ended goalless.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts which ended 4-3 in favor of Ecomog FC.

The victory earned Ecomog FC a place in the semifinals of Gunjur nawetan league following their elimination from the knockout competition.
