The famous Inter-Banks football tournament named after the  late Governor of Central Bank of The Gambia in Famara Jatta has reaches its quarter-finals stage.

Defending champions, GT Bank could not continue their mission as they were knocked out of the competition due to the number of cards they accumulated. This means there will be a  new champion in this year's edition.

Meanwhile, coach Musa Menga and his charges (First Bank) will look to book another ticket to the semis for the second time in a row when they face a resolute and last year's finalist BSIC Bank at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Coach Menga of First Bank said that their aim is win this year’s trophy, adding that they are working so hard towards that target.

He admitted that there are challenges as they climb the ladder but noted that they will work towards tacking them.

He noted that they have been collectively playing together as a team and hope that this will lead to their success.

He stated that his players have not been participating in their night games, therefore making it hard for others to perform well in their absence.
