Kuloro batter Pirang to clutch KED tourney trophy

Kuloro on Saturday thrashed Pirang 4-1 in a well-attended final played at the Basori Football Field to clinch the 2021-2022 Kombo East District (KED) inter-village football tournament trophy.

Pirang who won Kombo East District inter-village biggest football jamboree last season, came for victory against Kuloro in the final to retain the trophy but lost to Kuloro.

Kuloro lifted the 2021-2022 Kombo East District inter-village football tournament trophy after scoring four goals in the match.

Pirang scored one goal in the match which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

As champions, Kuloro went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D35,000 while Pirang received D25,000 as the runners-up.

The tournament was organised to nurture, groom and develop young talented players in Kombo East District.
